What you sow, so shall you reap!

There are moments in my work as a Feng Shui master when I encounter not just homes or offices, but the very echoes of karma itself. This story is one of those moments—a tale of integrity, consequences, and the invisible hand of divine balance.

I was approached to conduct a Feng Shui audit for the head offices of a client in the prestigious business hub of Sandton. The office gleamed with the trappings of wealth and success, but as I stepped into the space, I felt the unmistakable weight of a -90 position. For those unfamiliar, the -90 position is no random misfortune. It’s the universe’s way of signalling that the occupant has strayed from the path of righteousness.

Curiosity and caution compelled me to dig deeper into the man who ran this operation. What I uncovered was disheartening but not surprising. This was a man who left a trail of broken promises and unpaid invoices, a reputation built on dishonesty and disregard for the efforts of others.

It was clear that he had drawn the ire of karma itself. Everything he touched seemed destined to crumble, his success no more substantial than a castle made of sand. His position in life wasn’t an accident—it was a reflection of his actions.

There’s an old saying: What you sow, so shall you reap. Feng Shui is no magic wand; it aligns energies, but those energies respond to the integrity—or lack thereof—of the individual. A house may prosper, but the soul within it must be ready to receive that prosperity with honour.

I could have worked on his office, perhaps shifted the energy to give him a reprieve, but the question gnawed at me: Should a man like this be entrusted with such a gift? My answer was clear. The secrets of the heavens are not for those who take without giving, who dishonour the efforts of others, and who walk a path of ill intent.

So, I left.

This man’s story is a cautionary tale. Karma is a relentless force; it doesn’t miss a beat. You may escape its grasp for a while, but sooner or later, it finds its way back to you—or worse, to the generations that come after. Seventeen generations, to be precise, may bear the burden of one person’s misdeeds.

To those reading this, let this serve as a reminder: Do what is right. Work hard, honour your commitments, and walk with integrity. When you do, the heavens open their gates, and blessings flow freely. But tread the darker path, and the weight of your actions will fall upon you, heavy as stone.

The man in the -90 position is a reminder that even the most dazzling offices in Sandton cannot hide the truth from the universe. Do what is right, not for the rewards, but for the peace it brings to your soul.
