On the 9th of December 2013, it began as a routine consultation , or so I thought. An elite family in South Africa, known for their prominence and success, had invited me to conduct a Feng Shui audit. The woman of the house owned a prestigious, leading clothing brand, while her husband was a familiar face in the television industry. Their names carried weight, their villa exuded opulence, and their offices were a testament to their status. But behind the polished exterior, there was a hidden struggle—one I stumbled upon by chance.
As I made my way through their offices, noting the energy flows and making adjustments, I overheard a conversation that shifted everything. The parents had just received a troubling call from their son’s school—one of South Africa’s top institutions. The teachers had called them in for a meeting and suggested a grim course of action: the boy, they said, had ADHD. He was struggling to focus, falling behind, and they advised the parents to consider medication, counselling, and possibly transferring him to a special needs school. Ritalin, therapy sessions, new schools—it all loomed as a heavy burden over the family.
But something caught my attention. This didn’t feel right. As we spoke, the concern in their voices was palpable, but so was the love for their son. They were desperate to help him, but what if the solution wasn’t as complicated as it seemed?
I asked to see the boy’s bedroom in their villa. It was a North West 2 facing home, built in Period 8. Upon entering, I could immediately feel the energy—heavy, stagnant, like a fog that dulled the senses. The boy was sleeping in the South West direction & in a South location part of the room, an area with a negative magnetic field for his specific birth chart, that drained his vitality. His mind was shrouded in a haze, unable to focus, unable to think clearly. It was as if the room itself was pulling the life force out of him, leaving him in a perpetual state of fogginess.
The answer came to me as clearly as if it had been whispered by the house itself. He needed to move. I suggested a bold change: swapping his room with his sister’s. By changing them around, she would also be sleeping in a more favourable position than before , aligned with her birth chart and natural energy. Also by moving him from his room to his sisters room would be much better for his specific birth chart. The shift might have seemed small, even arbitrary, but the right direction and location could change everything.
The parents, though initially sceptical, agreed. They had tried everything else—what was one more adjustment? We made the switch, placing the boy in a room that aligned with his birth energy, a space that would support his focus, clarity, and growth. It was as if we had opened a window, letting fresh air and light into his world.
The results were nothing short of miraculous. Within a year, the same boy who had been labelled as needing special attention was suddenly thriving. He achieved 16 distinctions at school, a feat that left his teachers astounded. He became the top drummer, earning his colours for academic excellence and excelling in ways no one could have predicted. There was no therapy sessions, no Ritalin prescriptions, no trips to special needs schools—just the simple, powerful act of placing him in the right space, in the right direction.
It’s easy to underestimate the effect of a negative magnetic field, but it’s very real. It can drain a child’s energy, cloud their mind, and make even simple tasks feel insurmountable. But align them with a positive force, and everything changes. Their focus sharpens, their confidence blooms, and they begin to thrive in ways they never thought possible.
The boy’s transformation was a revelation—not just for his family, but for everyone who knew him. He was no longer the distracted child lost in a fog, but a young man who had discovered his potential and let it shine brightly.
I spoke to his father today who was very excited & he told me his son is writing his final exams to qualify as a Lawyer this week. The phoenix has risen out of the ashes.
So, when you see a child struggling, don’t rush to conclusions. By all means go have your children assessed by professional medical practitioners but before the prescriptions, the diagnoses, and the special programs, consider the unseen forces at play. Also get a professional Classical Feng Shui Master to asses the environment that the child is sleeping in & where the child is studding for 8 hours a day. Sometimes, the answer is as simple as changing direction, finding a new place, and letting the energy flow. The right alignment can open up a world of possibilities, and as this family learned, it can turn a desperate situation into an extraordinary success.
